Earthly delights

Finally, we made time for a short adventure trip to Lorong Buangkok! I've been dyyyyying (an understatement still) to go but never had the chance to. It's the last kampong left in Singapore so please do visit it before the government makes plans to remove it because from what I know, there were intentions to build roads through the kampong but plans are thwarted due to objections etc. The residents are adamant on staying cause they want to preserve the last standing kampong here so that the future generations would still have an idea of how it looks like. Think zinc roofs, muddy tracks..

These two weeks have been crazily packed for me, and the added bonus of having shoots really shoved things into the crazy region, but I'm not complaining since I'm busy with what I love most and have been meeting amazing people along the way. I'm planning to revamp this space again for a brand new look and I'm also planning to start a visual diary! If I ever get down to it, I will scan in the pages every now and then to share with you guys! Hope everyone's fully maximizing their time too. Toodles! xx

Freeing the memory

I think people do get accustomed to sadness after an extended period of being depressed, and I guess that applies to me but God must have heard my fervent cries because life is starting to really pick up recently and I've been indulging in a lot of good food and bumming around with the best people of my life. Not to forget, I've been taking photographs almost every single day and I'm really happy about it.

Sorry for the sporadic short posts and I've clean forgotten that my last post was close to a week ago. That's how preoccupied I am right now, but I am not complaining! Promise proper posts when I get back from Cameron Highlands ^_^

It's been 8 months and I am finally feeling better. I am finally crying lesser, and I am stronger and wiser and I'm burying every remaining bit of love away for good.

  I am freeing the memory.

Let this be a new beginning xx

In a world of my own

(Days spent doodling and reading (: )

Yay, I'm done with the examinations and I'm relieved that it all went well! *fistpump + sprinkles confetti* The sleepless nights I toiled through that really made me feel like giving it all up when I'm feeling miserable enough and I had to pry my eyes open at 4am to study when I went to bed at 330am. I was sooo tired, and sick and having all sorts of pains in my body I wanted to cry. When I walked out of the exam hall last night, I had this crazy urge to squeal and do a tiny jump in public, which didn't happen of course (otherwise I'd probably be Stomped).

Perhaps the number one reason why I'm so ecstatic that the exams are over is cause... I can let my emotions flow as and when instead of telling myself, "this can wait till the exams are over. Please don't cry now. Exams should come first." The first thing I did when I reached home was to cry into my bolster. What a complete change of emotion within a span of an hour plus. Misery loves me.

Prized Possession

You might have already seen them on my Instagram (smittenpixels) but I was swooning when these babies arrived ^_^ Naked 2 is undeniably a tad too pricey, but it's been put into good use because the shades are so lovely. Not to forget, the suede heels and sequined leopard print (short) shorts go so well together! I've never had the urge to repeat an outfit so badly.

I think the above paragraph just sounded like a snippet of my own version of Confessions of A Shopaholic. Um hmmm.

Can't wait for JB trip this weekend (equates to moreeee retail therapy and cheap thrills)!

Be back where you belong

A picture I sneakily took since no photography was allowed but I couldn't resist..!

One of the best parts of this experience is the unique boarding pass issued to you upon entering. Before we got our cards, I was poking D saying that I'd belong to the First Class and him, in the Third Class. And when we got the cards, I was in the Third Class and he was the richest man onboard. -.- But when we got to the end of the exhibition, you get to find out if "you" survived the shipwreck, and I survived and the richest man onboard didn't. Hahahaha so I guess I got the last laugh ^_^

Antoinette needs no introduction, and as much as it is overrated, I loveeeeeeed the Braised Wagyu Brisket! It's soooo yummy, definitely going back there again for it (:

This is a taaaaaad late, but for the dear reader who asked, this is what I made for D for V'day. Nothing extravagant, just a tiny handmade gift in a different form from the usual that I do.

I have a couple of new ideas brimming at the back of my head but all shall wait till the end of my exams. Meanwhile from now till then, I'll keep this space going with short posts!

Wish me luck!

Summer Serendipity

The father races her daughter ^_^ While I.... take my time.

Here's to happiness and magic. To a brand new month ahead, to more adventure trips and happier days ahead of us. To us and lovely weekends. Thank you for the love when I least deserve it.

Time to leave the past behind.

I'm anticipating our Cameron Highland and Phuket trip! Stoked xx.
